Job Description
LocumJobs Recruit is looking for a Locum Practice Nurse to deliver treatment room and chronic disease support in Bexleyheath.
An attractive locum option for Practice Nurses who want flexible sessions, prompt booking confirmation and a clear clinic structure. You will be joining a team that runs organised appointments and values safe, consistent nursing care.
Up to 4 days a week available with flexibility for short notice or planned cover.
Ideal for building regular locum work with repeat sessions.
Role Snapshot
• Locum Practice Nurse cover with treatment room focus and chronic disease support
• Planned nursing clinics with clear protocols and admin processes
• Opportunity for ongoing sessions or ad hoc shifts
Key Responsibilities
• Provide immunisations, injections and routine treatment room care
• Undertake wound care, dressings and infection control procedures
• Support long-term condition reviews and monitoring within practice protocols
• Carry out NHS health checks and health promotion interventions as needed
• Maintain accurate clinical records and ensure appropriate coding
• Support safe running of clinics through effective communication with the MDT
Requirements
• NMC registered Practice Nurse with UK primary care experience
• Strong treatment room skills and confidence working independently
• Cytology and chronic disease qualifications beneficial where applicable
• Up-to-date compliance including DBS and occupational health checks
• Professional, reliable approach with good patient communication
Working Pattern
• Locum sessions available up to 4 days per week
• Flexible booking options including regular weekly work or ad hoc cover
• Session times and clinic mix agreed in advance where possible
