Job Description

LocumJobs Recruit is looking for a Locum Advanced Nurse Practitioner to join a forward-thinking GP practice in Kidderminster.

This role suits an ANP who enjoys a steady pace, clear clinical pathways and a practice that prioritises patient experience. Expect well-structured clinics, realistic appointment expectations and a team that welcomes repeat cover.

Up to 2 days a week available with flexibility to align with your other commitments.

Ideal for regular weekly sessions or short blocks of cover.

Role Snapshot
• Part-time locum ANP sessions focused on minor illness and urgent care demand

• Opportunity to build a regular pattern with a consistent site

Key Responsibilities
• See and manage patients autonomously across urgent and routine presentations
• Prescribe appropriately and review medication in line with best practice
• Assess, diagnose and initiate management plans with safety-netting
• Undertake clinical triage where required to support demand management
• Complete referrals, fit notes and follow-up plans within agreed processes
• Maintain high-quality clinical records and appropriate coding

Requirements
• ANP qualification with demonstrable primary care experience
• V300 independent prescribing
• Confidence managing minor illness presentations end-to-end
• Strong communication skills and a safe, patient-centred approach
• DBS, immunisations and occupational health checks where required

Working Pattern
• Sessions available up to 2 days per week on a flexible basis
• Choice of ongoing weekly work or ad hoc booking blocks
• Session times can be agreed to suit availability where possible
