Job Description

LocumJobs Recruit is looking for a Locum General Practitioner to support a friendly GP practice in Lowestoft.

A strong option for GPs who prefer clear expectations, manageable lists and a practice that values clinical quality. This booking offers a professional environment, responsive support and the chance to secure regular work without long lead times.

Up to 3 days a week available with flexibility to suit your existing rota.

Straightforward sessions with a clear remit and prompt confirmation.

Role Snapshot
• Contracted locum GP sessions with a focus on face-to-face and routine care

• Suitable for ad hoc cover or a regular weekly pattern

Key Responsibilities
• Provide high-quality GP consultations and clinical decision-making
• Undertake medication reviews and manage common long-term conditions
• Assess and manage acute presentations with appropriate escalation
• Complete clinical documentation and coding to required standards
• Action test results and correspondence within agreed timeframes
• Contribute to safe service delivery and effective team communication

Requirements
• GMC registration and inclusion on the GP Register
• Recent UK general practice experience with confidence in independent clinics
• Good understanding of safeguarding and clinical governance processes
• Appropriate indemnity and compliance documentation
• Enhanced DBS and right to work in the UK

Working Pattern
• Sessions available up to 3 days per week with flexible booking options
• Choice of short blocks, ongoing weeks or regular repeat sessions
• Clinic structure agreed prior to booking to match your preferences
